Bangkok

So we had our last day in Khorat and went to Bangkok to meet Joe.

The bus ride was a laugh as me, Stevie and Marco never shut up talking the whole journey! Its weird cos the Thai's on the bus didn't speak to each other at all - for a 3 hour journey! There was the campest man in the world serving drinks and giving out snacks on the bus too – don’t get that in England! He told me to be quiet at one point cos I was talking too much!! All talk ( Kee more ) !!!

Joe's flight was delayed tho and he didn't get in until almost midnight so we had to stay in Bangkok for a night which we hadn't planned. It was ok tho not a big deal and it turned out to be good (De)as we got to see a bit of Bangkok... We were expecting to see loads of tanks and soldiers from the coup but there wasn't much action to be honest.

Bangkok is massive and proper lairy! It seems like a really good mix of Eastern and Western culture and kind of reminded me a bit of New York with massive billboard advertisements everywhere and loads of flashing lights. Our hotel was pretty expensive (Pang) and wasn't very nice so that was a bit duff but other than that it was good.

We managed to sort a new flight out to Phuket and left Bangkok the next day. from the brand new airport that has just opened – it was cool there and there were quite a few military knocking about. We landed in Phuket and caught a taxi to where we are staying.

As I write this the funniest thing has just happened! I’m in an internet cafĂ© in Phuket now and it is chucking it down outside. There was just a loud pop and then some sparks and all the lights went out! Then another pop and everyone else’s PCs tuned off in the whole place apart from mine! I better stop using it now tho I reckon will write more later…
