I've seen some more famous people in Sydney in recent weeks...
First off I saw Drew Kirk from Neighbours (aka Dan Paris) at Bondi Beach. He was up at North Bondi near the rocks taking photos... I was there with my parents showing them around and he was right next to us. My parents didn't recognise him but I did - the man was in Neighbours which automatically makes him a LEGEND!
Thinking about it now I should have got his autograph for my mate Garside, he is the biggest Neighbours fan EVER and used to arrange his whole day around wathcing it when we were at Uni together...! Sorry G-Side - next time I see a cast member I will get an autograph for you - I promise!
Okay next I saw Keith Urban in Martin Place when I was on my way to work. They film a morning television show called Sunrise (bit like GMTV) in a studio right near there and they sometimes have their music guests playing at Martin Place. I walked right past him and then stopped and turned around when loads of people started going mental for him! I have to admit, I didn't even know who it was until someone said "Ahh yeah mate, that's Nicole Kidman's husband"... He didn't look like he was straight out of rehab...
Anyway moving on, yesterday I saw Avril Lavigne! That was pretty cool she was in Martin Place too signing autographs.
She is tiny, like REALLY REALLY small! She's pretty famous though - so it was cool to see her...
Will keep my eyes peeled for more famous people!

Parky!
At the cricket I also got the best celebrity spot of the trip so far - Michael Parkinson!!!
I saw him outside the ground before the game! What a legend! I love Parky he's well cool!
He's from Barnsley too like me!
This is actually the second time that I've seen Parky! I saw him outside Oakwell once when I went to watch Barnsley getting promoted to the Premier League (happy days!).
That is such a good celeb spot! I cant see that one being beaten for a long long time! Parky, he's class!

Aussie Cricket Team On Coogee Beach!
I got to Coogee about half an hour before footy was due to start so I just had a walk down to the beach to kill a bit of time.
There were all these lads playing keepy uppy with a football on the beach and they were all wearing the same kit so I figured they were a football team. I'm looking to join a team so went over to see if I could see which team it was and when I got a bit closer I realised it was the whole of the Australian Cricket team!
Shane Warne wasn't there but there was Glenn McGrath, Brett Lee, Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Andrew Symonds, Matthew Hayden, Michael Hussey and loads of the others.
They weren't that good at keepy uppy! I reckon England could beat them at that at least! They seemed like a good laugh though, whoever dropped the ball had to go in the sea, it got down to the final two of Andrew Symonds and Michael Clarke and when the ball fell to the sand it was debatable whose fault it was so they both ran in the sea!
It was cool to see them and adds loads of names to my list of celebs that I've seen on the trip so far!

Home and Away
I saw Sally from Home and Away the other day! She was in the Palace Hotel which is a bar in Coogee - that was cool! I was tempted to start singing the Home and Away theme tune but I thought I'd better not really!
There is a big storyline involving Sally over here at the moment, its a bit of cliffhanger so I dont want to ruin it for anyone back home but basically she gets stabbed by Rocco who was told to do this by his criminal brother, who Sally had helped send to jail (yeah its pretty bad) .
Anyway Sally is lying there after being stabbed and she is still alive but the episode ends with the song "Light Surrounding You" by Evermore and a video which chronicles Sally's life in Home and Away.
So after that everyone thought she was going to die for sure! That was before Christmas.
BUT when Home and Away started again after the Xmas break Sally is still alive! She is in hospital and she's in a pretty bad way but she is fighting for her life, go on Sal!
Thats pretty big news over here - hope that doesn't ruin it for anyone but seen as though I have told you the whole story I guess it probably does! Sorry! = )
Lesley (from Lesley and James who I am staying with at the moment) saw John Howard (Aussie PM) the other day! He was out power walking with his 2 bodyguards! She said hello to him and everything! Thats cool! Not as cool as seeing Sally from Home and Away though! She beats John Howard easy!
Apparantly Alf Stewart from Home and Away lives in Kirribilli and is quite often around the shops and cafes there on the weekend (when he's not filming I guess). We live right near Kirribilli! I'm going track him down! The Flaming Gala!
