Big Waves!

I've been spending quite a bit of time at the beach recently as the weather is REALLY nice here now. Been going to Coogee beach most of the time.

Coogee is class!

I went body surfing there with Adam and James the other day. The waves are MASSIVE!!!

I caught the best one wave I have ever caught and rode it all the way into the beach! It was quality!

After that I felt like I had the hang of it and got a bit confident - BIG MISTAKE!!! I tried to catch a really big wave and, instead of catching it nice and cleanly like the one before, this one picked me up, turned me upside down and slammed me on to the sea bed! Then it dragged me along the sand for a bit so I had nice big red mark all along my back! Managed to swallow loads of sea water too! Nice! It was good fun though!

The lifeguards were warning everyone to be careful as there had been some injuries that day - there was an ambulance at the beach!

I thinnk I'm going to Coogee Beach again tomorrow so I'll take some more photos then but for the time being here's a photo of a surfer at Coogee showing just how big they can get!

You do have to be careful, I love it though its a right laugh!
