Joe arrives tomorrow so we are heading to Bangkok Airport to meet him. We probably wont see too much on the military coup front (hope not anyway) as we are not leaving the airport. We are meeting Joe and then heading straight to Phuket for 2 nights. That should start the real beach holiday part of the trip which will be good.
Khorat has been a brilliant introduction to Thailand though, its great here. Its cool to be in a non-tourist area and see how the real Thai people live. Its also been really good just chilling out and drinking in some small bars and taking it easy, like this...

Last night we went to Stevie's Dad's house and ate some Vietnamese food which was really nice. We watched Liverpool v Spurs (great goal from Riise) and Chelsea v Fulham (never a penalty) and just took it easy.
Tonight we are having another meal and then going to watch Newcastle v Everton in a bar in town, should be interesting as I'm with 3 geordies!
Everyone over here loves the king of Thailand, they genuinely really like him so its cool! The royal colour is yellow and lots of people wear yellow shirts or wristbands to signify their love for the King. I've got a wristband! Its ace! I wear it all the time... There are loads of statues and posters paying tribute to the King too, here's a pic of me in front of the one outside the mall in Khorat...

I'm missing Becky quite a lot at the moment so really looking forward to when she comes out to Australia and meeting up again. It will be ace when she gets to Sydney!!! Been texting and calling home a bit now that I have got a Thai sim card, eats up my credit pretty fast tho!!

Sounds really "cool" Taylor, glad you're having an "ace" time.
