Swimming with Reef Sharks!

A bit later on the tour we had to opportunity to swim with reef sharks. You didn't have to but most of us lept at the chance.

We had to swim quite a long way from the boat, weaving our way through the large coral formations until we found the area where the reef sharks hang out.

It is an area known as a cleaning station and the sharks come there to get cleaned by all the smaller fish.

there were 3 reef sharks and we swam about 4 metres above them before diving down for a closer look! they were really cool and pretty big! One was 2.5 metres! It wasn't scary at all though as the sharks were only interested in getting cleaned and paid us no attention at all.

This was another wicked experience that I will remember all my life.
