Okay, so not only do I have to look out for the "millions" of Brown Snakes in Sydney but there have also been a few more shark attacks close to here.
A man was attacked this morning by the three-metre Great White Shark at Cape Howe, near Eden, on the NSW south coast. Thats about 400ks from Sydney, quite far for me but I'm sure Great Whites swim that far most days before breakfast.
The guy who was attacked is going to be ok he's in hospital and has some bad injuries but he's going to make it.
He was scuba diving and the Great White actually bit his head! Then it had a second bite and got his torso. Somehow the guy managed to get free after the shark bit down on him and then he poked the shark in the eye! What a legend!
I hope he's shouting "I will not die today!" Leo style from The Beach!
I thought shark attacks were supposed to pretty rare... they seem to be happening all the time here at the moment!
I STILL think about sharks every time I go in the water here - don't think that is going to change very soon...
